July Holiday Programme
Every school holidays we run an intensive week long course (Monday to Friday) at all of our locations. What makes our programme unique is that we offer water safety and snorkelling too, so it keeps it really fun for the children and offers a point of difference to the term time swimming. The children attend for 90mins each day and have 30mins of each swimming lessons, snorkelling and water safety (not necessarily in that order dependent on availability). There is also an option to do just a 30minute swim lesson if you prefer.

Doing a daily 30min swimming lesson in the school holidays can be a great progress booster if your child has been 'stuck' at the same level for a little while and is struggling to master a skill. The repetition of daily lessons is great for reinforcement, but also the children don't have time to 'forget' between lessons!
This is also a fantastic option for anyone considering starting regular, weekly term time lessons. It can be a great intro and also a good kickstart into term time lessons.
The holiday swimming lessons are all 30mins in length and the same levels and objectives as our term time classes are used. Read about these by clicking here
. This means the instructor can make an accurate recommendation of which class level your child would need in our normal term time lessons.
Snorkelling is a fun activity to learn and to practice for when you're on holiday! This is a structured, progressive programme which starts by getting the children used to the masks and gradually introduces the snorkel and fins throughout the week. We cover important things such as how the mask should fit, how to breathe through the snorkel, what hand signals mean, how to kick in fins and how to clear your snorkel after diving under water. This is generally suitable for children who can already swim a little (Advanced Beginner upwards) and are confident going underwater.
Equipment is provided by the swim school but if you have your own you're more than welcome to practice with it.
We place a lot of emphasis on our water safety programme during the school holidays. This is the reason 99% of parents will want their children to attend lessons - to be safer around the water. Throughout the week long course we cover a different topic each day, through a programme designed closely with Coastguard. We cover topics from how to help others in difficulty, how to help yourself, rescue equipment (including improvisations), lifejackets, swimming with clothes on and boat safety. This course is suitable for any age group and try to best match age groups to enable a similar level of understanding as best we can.
