Greenwoods Aquatic Enterprises Ltd. is the parent company for the swim school and also provides swimming pool management services.

These include managing the day to day operation of the pool with regular water testing and treatment. The ordering and handling of the various chemicals required to maintain not only quality water but clean and hygienic facilities. Staff training and roster coordination, pool space and time bookings, facility and program promotion.

Facilities are operated to the standards required for Poolsafe accreditation and to comply with national standards and local body bylaws.

The benefits to community are obvious and our belief is that in the case of school pools the school will play even more of a role in the local community than at present.

With the pool available and the community encouraged to utilise the facilities, the school may well become a hub for cultural and recreational activities. The school will have access to the pool without the financial burden of having to fund its operation.

The provision of professional swimming instruction can also benefit local schools who will be able to participate in the programs at the pools.

A well managed facility which is safe and hygienic will attract the local population, initially in the warmer weather over spring and summer but also over the winter with greater public awareness.

We believe that Greenwoods Aquatics has a model ideally suited to working with schools and the Council in managing swimming pools and the proven track record over many years to provide the major stakeholders with a high degree of confidence that the pool will be successfully operated into the future.

I have the pleasure in providing a testimonial for Greenwoods Aquatic Enterprises Ltd who have provided management/operational services for the Epsom Aquatic Centre since a decision was made in October 2005 to contract out this pool management responsibility.

As Manager of the facilities, Dean and his team provide daily maintenance of the complex including water testing, maintaining water quality, cleaning and servicing, routine maintains, lifeguard services as required, as well as maintaining a close liason with user groups and billing responsibilities for their use of the pool.

It is important to the school that the Aquatic Centre is maintained to the highest possible standard, and I am pleased that this commitment is very much a part of the ethics that Dean displays in his management responsibilities
